Sports Day

Fossa NS held a fantastic sports days on Thursday. The children enjoyed various sporting activities during the day. The children played basketball, soccer, dodge-ball, orienteering, agility games, circuits and parachute games. The day ended with some very competitive egg and spoon races and sack races. A wonderful day was enjoyed by all staff and children. Well done everybody!

Football League 2016

A fantastic football league was organised by Mr. Corcoran this year. The football league has been running for the last number of week during lunch times. It was certainly enjoyed by all children. The finals of the league cup and shield were held last Friday. The whole school enjoyed the Junior and Senior Finals.  Senior Final Winners: Longford Slashers. Runners-up: Glenswilly Senior Shield Winners: Dingle. Runners-up: Crossmaglen Rangers. Junior Final Winners: Baltinglass. Runners-up: Corofin Junior Shield Winners: Carrichmore. Community Games U12 Relay County Champions

A big congratulations to our gold medal winners Abigail Murphy, Alicia Burke, Alison Butler, Bianca Lejwoda, Melissa Ahern and Rachel Wallace who won the U12 Relay race in An Ríocht Track Castleisland. Well done girls. We wish you all the best of luck at the Finals in Athlone.

Our MasterChef 2016 Experience

Erin: 4th Class participated in MasterChef this year. We learned a lot of things along the way like reading recipes, measuring, budgeting and working together. I enjoy baking so I had a lot of fun! Even though we didn’t win we still had a great time and I was very happy for my friends who won. Conor: We were divided into groups by Miss Hayes.
