“Harnessing the power of the sun” While learning about energy 4th class put solar power to the test and made solar powered ovens. We successfully made delicious s’mores in our “ovens”.
Our golf lessons concluded today
” Our golf lessons concluded today with a very enjoyable session in the driving range at Killarney Golf Academy. There was plenty pitching, driving, and putting and the children put everything they learned into practice at the real thing. A few hole-in-ones were scored as well as some very impressive drives. There might even be the odd ball found out on Innisfallen island!! We might have a green jacket in Fossa in the not too distant future!!
Míle buíochas to Mark Heinemann for his time and expertise over the last 6 weeks. It is much appreciated.

Drumming Workshop with Mr. Boom
We enjoyed an amazing drumming workshop today with Mr. Boom. There was rhythm and beats ó thús go deireadh and we had a blast!
The boom is back!!!
“Collaborative Comic Creations”
4th class worked together in groups to create amazing comic books. Together, they created hilarious and imaginative characters, plots and story lines. The team work and enjoyment throughout the creative process was a joy to see, as was the finished product.
Each group then brought their comics to Ms Doody’s 2nd class to read to them and discuss what they created.
Maith sibh buichaillí agus caillíní.

“Ag céiliúradh Lá Domhanda na Leabhar le Rang 4”
4th class had great fun celebrating World Book Day 24. We had a thoroughly enjoyable visit from illustrator David Fortune. David showcased a selection of his work and guided the children through character formation and development using their own imagination.
We dressed up as our favourite book character for a day and decorated our classroom door as one of our favourite books. There was plenty reading for pleasure, swapping book and author recommendations, chatting about our favourite books and a book swap in the hall.
